Grandpa Ill-Rhymez

Grandpa Ill-Rhymes hails from the mean streets of Westwood, Kentucky. Growing up being raised as a ghetto child of the "Wood", Ill-Rhymez learned first hand what it would take to make it in this game. As a young child, back in days of 1930, Ill-Rhymez began to embark on his journey of being an overly excited but highly under rated street poet. He was and is truly the Original Gangsta.

Grandpa Ill-Rhymez slowly made his way into the music industry, but life before the day of his signing to Cutarug Records was a very rough struggle for him. His mother, even though she tried her best to raise him the best she could, lost hold of her young child when she was sentenced to life in prison for stealing a box of twinkies from the local Dollar General store, and Ill-Rhymez' father, who was once the prosperous mayor of Westwood, left town when he was overthrown by the local and still reigning mayor of Westwood, Noah. Ill-Rhymez, with no adult supervision and no direction in life, began trying to earn cash any way that he could, either by working at the local Rich gas station or by hustling little kids at the area Boy's Club. Soon, once all the hype of hustling was gone, Grandpa Ill-Rhymez began to start polishing his skills at rhyming and street poetry.

Being in the game for nearly 70 years has really helped the street smart Grandpa. He has acquired much street knowledge from trying to survive on the infamous streets of Westwood. He finally caught his break in the year of 2000 when he was picked up onto his now current record label, Cutarug Records. Now, Grandpa Ill-Rhymez plans to reach the masses with his very distint style of hip-hop and verbal delivery. He plans to give back to the streets that raised him into the 87 year old gangsta that he is!
